ENTRY FORM IN BACK OF BOOK

Dairy Show Starts at: 9:30 a.m. Sunday
RULES
1. Entry Form in Back of Book. Entry Fee: $3.00 per animal.
2. If entries are received by August 19th, passes will be guaranteed before the fair. Entries received after August 20th may have to pay admission and be reimbursed. A $5.00 LATE FEE WILL BE CHARGED PER ANIMAL. ALL LATE ENTRIES SUBJECT TO AVAILABLE BARN SPACE.
3. The superintendent reserves the right to refuse any entry.
4. No unloading cattle in front of the barn.
5. Health Papers will be checked.
6. Stalls will be ready on Thursday, and must be kept clean throughout the weekend. STALL SPACE MUST BE APPROVED BEFORE BEDDING IS PUT DOWN.
7. Exhibitors must furnish own bedding.
8. State Health Regulations and State Leasing Rules will apply.
9. Registered and unregistered animals will be shown TOGETHER.
10. No exhibitor may have more than two animals in a class.
11. No exhibitor may have more than one entry in a group class.
12. Animals registered in the name of one or more members of the same family and entered from the same farm may be shown in groups.
13. In making entries in the groups, all animals must have been shown in single classes.
14. Proper show attire must be worn when showing in all shows.
15. Shoes must be worn at all times, in the ring and in the barn.
16. All breeds must be in by 9:00 A.M. on Friday, excluding milking cows, which must be in by 9 A.M. on the day of breed show. They cannot be removed until 4:00 or after the showing is completed for the day, (4:00 is the earliest they may leave). Times will be strictly enforced. If heifers (any breed) are taken off the grounds before 4:00 on Monday, ALL PRIZE MONEY WILL BE FORFEITED.
17. Friday: Cattle Demonstrations: 5:00 pm
Saturday: Beef show and Beef showmanship: 10:00 am
SUNDAY: Open Dairy Show and Showmanship, All Breeds: 9:30 am
Holstein, Ayrshire, Jersey, Brown Swiss Milking Shorthorn, Guernsey, and Dutch Belt open show.
18. Farm signs should be displayed.
19. Animals should be identified for the public.
20. Premiums will not be awarded to animals that are not recently clipped and properly washed for classes and throughout the weekend.
21. Exhibitors and family only can sleep overnight, all sleeping bags, etc., must be rolled by 8:00 A.M. Everyone sleeping over must stay in the barn or designated camping areas. Lights will be turned off each night between 11:00 P.M. and Midnight.
22. ALL ANIMALS MUST BE KEPT UNDER CONTROL AT ALL TIMES.
23. A revolving plaque, donated by Joan & Dick Kimball will be awarded to the Best Bred and Owned Jersey in memory of Ruth Hartshorn.
24. A revolving plaque, donated by Andrews Farm, will be awarded for Best Bred and Owned Holstein in memory of Albert “Sonny” Andrews.
25. A revolving plaque donated by the Kibbe family will be awarded to the Best Bred and Owned Ayshire, in memory of Nancy Kibbe.
26. A revolving plaque donated by the Cutler family will be awarded to the Best Bred and Owned Brown Swiss.
27. A trophy donated by Janet Edwards, Louis and William King will be awarded to the Best Bred and Owned Guernsey in Memory of Lewis King.
28. A trophy donated by Janet Edwards, Louis and William King will be awarded to the Best Uddered Guernsey in Memory of Hannah and George Edwards.
RABIES VACCINE IS RECOMMENDED BUT NOT REQUIRED.
CATTLE BARN HERDSMANSHIP
DEPARTMENT 101 Z
There will be two groups: 1. Small herds, 5 animals and under.
2. Large herds, 6 animals and over.
Prizes will be based on cleanliness, courtesy, displaying of farm and animal signs, and overall appearance.
PRIZES IN EACH CLASS:
FIRST, $50.00; SECOND, $30.00; THIRD; $20.00; FOURTH; $10.00; FIFTH; $10.00
